Getting started

Creative production

The full path of a creative — from a blank script to a video ready to run.

This is the end-to-end view: a creative going from zero to ready to run. Each step below has its own page with the details — here you see how they fit together.

The flow works solo or as a team. Working alone? Skip the assignment and review parts; everything else is identical.

1. Create the creative and set an assignee

Work always starts from a video in the library — a file you uploaded, or a creative still to be shot.

  1. In the library, upload the video or create the creative to be produced.
  2. Open the video's side panel.
  3. Under Assignee, pick who owns the production.

The assignee shows up on the board card and in the Assignee filter — that's how the team knows who has the ball.

2. Write the script

The script is written inside AdShields, split into typed blocks: Hook, Promise, Story, Objection Handling, Offer and CTA.

Typing each block isn't decoration — it's what makes the structure of the piece visible to whoever edits it.

3. Comment and adjust

Select a passage of the copy and comment on it. The comment sticks to that piece of text instead of floating in a card.

4. Define the scenes

With the text locked, select a passage and define its scene. Describe what appears on screen; if you need sequential direction, break the scene into shots.

Attach reference images to each scene or shot to remove ambiguity from the brief.

5. Export for the editor

Once the script is approved, export it in whatever format your editor uses — TXT, SRT, DOCX or PDF.

6. Upload the version and review

The edited video comes back as a new version of the same creative — not as a loose new file. That keeps the history together.

During review, pause on the frame and comment at the exact second.

7. Move it on the board

Drag the card to the next column as work advances. If the column has an automation, the action fires on its own — including pushing the video to Meta Ads.
